The Franklin Islands will be entitled to take membership of the FMF if we are successful in proving our claims to the MCS. I would like an opinion on if citizens think this is a good idea. Here is my proposal:
This Senate moves that;
On the seventh day following the passage of this proposal, a referendum shall take place of all citizens of voting age on the question 'Should the Franklin Islands have a national football team?'.
That on the day after the vote takes place, the result shall be announced.
That this referendum shall be binding if 20 out of 32 voters answer 'Yes' to the referendum question.

Well of course I say yes to allowing the citizens to decide. Will there be a campaign period?

I chose not to officially declare a campaign period, but the seven days preceding the vote will be for campaigns.

Then I say AYE to the referendum.

As much as I dislike the idea, it's only fair that the people should decide so AYE.

Also AYE, and I'd like to lead the Yes campaign if possible?

Ok, this vote will take place in 7 days time, Peter, if you could lead the Yes campaign, and I take it Sophie would like to lead the No campaign?
